CLEAN LABELING PERFORMANCE THAT HOLDS UP UNDER PRESSURE

In food and beverage manufacturing, labels shouldn’t lift, shift, wrinkle, or leave a mess behind. But that’s what operators deal with when adhesives don’t bond well or cut clean. On high-speed lines or tricky substrates like polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or high-density polyethylene (HDPE), even small issues lead to buildup, rework, or customer complaints.

Capital helps stop the mess before it starts.

Our labeling adhesives are built to run clean, grab fast, and stay consistent, so operators don’t waste time wiping glue or pulling mislabeled product. Each batch is lab-tested for bond strength, flow, and cutoff, then ships fast from our ISO-certified facility. With Capital, you get dependable performance where it counts: on your line, during your shift.

If your adhesive is slowing you down, we can help.

Common Labeling Adhesive Issues

FORMULATED TO REMEDY ANY ADHESIVE ISSUE

When adhesives don’t bond cleanly or consistently, operators pay the price in rework, downtime, and wasted product. Capital helps eliminate these issues by matching each formula to your labels, substrates, and line conditions, so everything runs the way it should.

Flagging

Labels lift at the edges or fail to hold under pressure. Our adhesives build strong wet tack quickly to keep labels locked down from first contact.

Stringing

Crews waste time cleaning up fine strands of glue between runs. We match viscosity and open time to your line speed to reduce stringing and stoppage.

Wrinkling or Bubbling

Trapped air leads to cosmetic defects and rework. Our adhesives flow evenly across the surface to eliminate voids and help the label lay smooth and flat.

Lack of Water Resistance

Labels fall off quickly when wet. Our adhesives are built with moisture resistance to hold labels securely, even in washdown conditions or after condensation.

Lack of Heat or Cold Resistance

Labels pop off in freezer temperatures or get gummy and fail when exposed to heat. Our adhesives prevent both issues, holding labels firmly in extreme temperatures.

Common Labeling Substrates BUILT FOR FOOD & BEVERAGE

From aluminum cans to water bottles, labeling adhesives need to bond across a wide range of surfaces. We formulate adhesives to hold strong and run clean on the substrates used in food and beverage manufacturing.

Metal

Provides strong grab on coated and uncoated metal commonly used for food cans such as steel, tin, and aluminum without lift, or slip, even under high-speed label application or temperature changes.

Glass

Maintains hold on slick, non-porous glass surfaces commonly used for bottle labeling. Bonds stay tight without sliding, flagging, or bubbling during washdown or cold storage.

Paper

Flows evenly into paper fibers for a smooth laydown and strong bond that resists wrinkling, flagging, and over-wetting.

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)

Grabs fast on this low-energy plastic used for water bottles without smearing or shifting. Adhesive holds tight even under pressure or product movement.

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

Delivers reliable adhesion on tough, waxy surfaces like HDPE containers. Prevents flagging and keeps labels secure from fill to shelf.

Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE)

Formulated to wet out and bond on flexible LDPE without peel-back or edge lift during handling or shipping.

Polypropylene

Bonds aggressively to polypropylene packaging without slipping or adhesive failure on curved or rigid containers.

Polystyrene

Sticks cleanly to polystyrene with smooth laydown and no bubbling. Ideal for lightweight or thermoformed containers needing visual appeal.

Common Labeling Types

DESIGNED FOR ALL MAJOR LABEL FORMATS

Different labels demand different adhesive behavior. Whether you’re running glue-applied, pressure-sensitive, or full-wrap labels, Capital delivers adhesives that match your process and hold through the line.

DESIGNED FOR ALL MAJOR LABEL FORMATS

Cut and Stack Labels

Pre-cut paper labels applied with glue on-site. Our adhesives lock them down fast and clean for a smooth laydown without wrinkling or flagging.

Roll-Fed Labels

Supplied on rolls for 360° container coverage. We build in clean cutoff, consistent grab, and flow control to avoid slippage or edge lift at high speeds.

Pressure-Sensitive Labels (PSA)

Adhesive comes pre-applied to the label. We supply PSA adhesives to label manufacturers and support clean, reliable bonding across films, plastics, and paper stocks.

Labeling OEMs

OEM TESTED. OPERATOR APPROVED.

We tailor adhesives to work seamlessly with leading EOL systems, so you get clean, reliable bonds without equipment headaches or warranty concerns.

FAQS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your questions matter. Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about labeling adhesives.

Have more questions?
Get in Touch

Can you match or improve my current adhesive?

Yes. We can analyze your current adhesive and either match it directly or recommend a better option based on your materials, application method, and line conditions.

Do you have a product that prevents stringing?

Absolutely. Our labeling adhesives are built with stable viscosity and clean cutoff, so you get strong bonds without glue tails, mess, or extra cleanup between runs.

What is the shelf life of your labeling adhesives?

Water-based products have a six-month shelf life. Hot melts last up to two years. All adhesives are batch-coded and ship fresh from our ISO-certified facility.

Can you add UV or color to a product?

Yes. We can include UV detection additives for sensor systems or add visible color to aid application visibility and operator control.

What size of containers can I order?

Water-based: 5-gallon pails, 30- and 55-gallon drums, 275-gallon totes, or bulk tankers. Hot melt: 35-lb boxes, 1,200-lb bins, or full truckload (30,000 lbs).

What is your standard sample size?

We send 5-gallon pails for water-based and 10-lb boxes for hot melt—free of charge—so you can run a full trial before switching.

How fast can we get product?

Most labeling adhesives ship next day. We stock common formulations, so you’re not left waiting or stuck tracking down backup inventory.

Can you support us during trial and startup?

Yes. We send the sample, join your trial, and work with your team until performance is dialed in. You’re not left guessing or troubleshooting alone.
