Padding is a finishing procedure in which a soft, flexible adhesive is applied to one end of a stack of paper sheets to create notepads and when the adhesive dries, sheets can be torn off individually.
Sticky notes use a non-aggressive adhesive recommended for uncoated paper stock and once cured, allows a sheet to be removed while retaining a certain tackiness that creates a repositionable bond.
